Use the process below to uncover the deeper desire behind your procrastination—so you can move toward your goals with clarity and devotion.

Step 1: Awareness

Where is procrastination showing up in your life? What goal is it keeping you from?

Step 2: Spot the Judgment

What are you telling yourself about this?

(Example: I’m lazy, I should be doing more, I always sabotage myself…)

Step 3: Identify the Inner Block

What is the inner block getting in the way of you achieving your goal?

(Example: Perfectionism. It has to be flawless or I’ll fail. Self-Doubt. What if I’m not good enough? People-Pleasing. What if I let someone down? Inner Critic (I’ll never do this right anyway…)

Step 4: Your Relationship With This Block

When this block shows up, how do you respond?

(Example: I distract myself, I overthink, I freeze, I judge myself harder…)

Step 5: Is It Working?

Be honest—how well is this strategy actually working for you?

Step 6: The Hidden Devotion

How is this block trying to serve you? How is it trying to help me, even if it’s not working?

Step 7: A New Approach

Now that you see what procrastination has been trying to do for you, how can you honor that deeper desire directly without using the block?
